VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK v8.1 Released with DICOM and WEB Annotation support!
VintaSoft Ltd releases the major version 8.1 of its .NET Imaging SDK for WinForms, WPF and ASP.NET, which includes some brand new functionality along with lots of enhancements and improvements. The most outstanding features of the release are newly created Web Image Viewing and Annotation Controls, new DICOM, JPEG-LS and PCX image codecs, and the PDF Compressor Demo application.
The newly developed Web Controls provide the functionality for viewing and annotating images and PDF documents in ASP.NET applications. The supported annotation set includes Rectangle, Ellipse, Arrow, Line, Polyline, Text and Rubber Stamp annotations. Now the controls also add the ability to pan, magnify, zoom image and select image region when viewed in ASP.NET application.
The new release includes the DICOM medical image file decoder implemented in the new VintaSoftDICOM.NET Plug-in, JPEG-LS and PCX image codecs. Plenty of improvements were made in JPEG, TIFF, PNG and RAW image codecs and resulted in overall performance increase and memory usage reduction.
A special thrill in v8.1 is the implementation of new PDF Compressor Demo application, with the ability to configure the PDF compression settings and perform the PDF file optimization. Finally, the various settings to configure the PDF compression for a particular task allow to reach the best quality-compression ratio along with smallest file size for any kind of PDF document.
Image processing command set was given new IsImageBlackWhiteCommand, IsImageGrayscaleCommand, GetImageColorDepthCommand and GetBorderRectCommand commands, as well as the SDK's demo set was extended with Web Annotation, PDF Compressor and DICOM Viewer Demo.
The new VintaSoftDICOM.NET Plug-in is nothing else than the modern realization of all common functions needed for decoding DICOM medical image files and handling the related patient metadata using the Microsoft .NET Framework. The new version of VintaSoftPDF.NET Plug-in includes increased performance of PDF encoder and optimized memory usage.
VintaSoft's testing system, containing tens of thousands automated and manual tests, is specially designed for delivering the most stable versions of our Document Imaging SDK for .NET, WPF and WEB to the software components market. We have developed a large set of demo application, created the detailed user guide and reference API documentation with only one intention - to make the life of programmers easier.
